Dividend Income Update February

Each month I will publish my dividend income. I will mainly do this for staying self motivated and to give you the readers the chance to follow my journey from the beginning on. The dividend income in the first couple of years will be on a very low level but investing in dividend stocks is all about the long term. I am very sure that in 5 years from now I will get my first rewards for the patience and focus on my goals.

Again time for another dividend income update. The year started slowly like January, February is also not one of the biggest dividend income months. But again I could manage to increase my dividend income compared to the previous year.

Overview dividend income February

My total dividend income in February was 51.13 EUR that is an increase of 69.4% compared to February 2016. That increase does come from changes in the exchange rate, dividend increases and two new companies on my dividend income list CVS and Abbvie.

Overview monthly dividend income 2017

My average monthly dividend income in 2016 was at  58.86 EUR and for 2017 I am already having an average forward monthly dividend income of 98.41 EUR. So I am now very close to cross the my first goal to have an average monthly dividend income of 100 EUR. My Goal for 2017 is to have a total dividend income of 1 400 EUR by the end of the year.

How was your dividend income in February?

  1. Very good job. 69% is huge!
For my part, still rather upset to have found that dividends from REIT’s are charged extra (as if they were foreign currency stocks) by bankdirekt… I guess my forward dividend calculations are all overestimated *facepalm* gotta love Austria!
    Keep up the great work

    • Hi Petinga,

thanks for the kind words. Yes the REIT taxation in Austria is really strange, I almost made the same mistake as I wanted to buy HCP…
